One of the biggest aspects of Mafia Wars Strategy is rapid wealth building. Money is a major factor of the game when you first start playing, but this is easily overcome with sound financial tactics and planning. To “cheat” in mafia wars and build wealth FAST you will HAVE to consider return on investment during your acquisition of properties. Some properties are cheaper to purchase, but don’t necessarily provide much bang for the buck. Throughout the game the best return on investment is simply the Mafia Mikes providing approximately four times the return as the next best property when taken dollar for dollar.

To calculate your ROI in Mafia Wars you will need to get some information. You will have to know the cost of the land needed to build a property. You will have to know the cost to build the property. Finally, you will have to know how much money that property puts in your pocket when it pays out. Let’s look at an example from my own personal game, and yes I’m going to use Mafia Mike’s.

Mafia Mikes require two components: an abandoned lot and then construction. The property pays out $12,000 per hour. Construction costs are $969,760. An abandoned lot right now costs me $4,750. The total cost for one Mafia Mikes then is $974,510.

Now we get to our magic number, Return on Investment (ROI), as follows.

To calculate ROI you divide your total costs by your hourly earnings. In this case I divide $974,510 by $12,000/hr to come up with a Return on Investment (ROI) of 81.209 hours. This means the property will pay for itself after 81.209 hours. To put this in perspective for you I have exactly 1,266 Mafia Mikes. My next best property has an ROI of 256.5 hours, and I only own 10 of them. So, make this calculation for each property type and TRY to get the ones that pay for themselves the quickest.

Making these calculations for each one of your Mafia Wars properties will allow you to make the best investment decision for your situation and help you fund all your Mafia Wars activities.

The simplest way to “cheat” in Mafia Wars is by getting help on jobs. When you are doing jobs pay close attention to the output the game gives you. Approximately every 48 hours you are given the chance to “earn a job bonus and get help with the job”. You WANT to do this. Not only will you earn a LOT of money if a bunch of your Mafia Family helps, but you will gain a LOT of experience points relative to the job. This a good way to gain a quick level or two every 2 or 3 days.

Now that you know how to “cheat” in mafia wars by getting help on jobs let’s talk about how to maximize the bonus experience and cash. When presented with the opportunity to earn some quick experience and cash by getting help on a job, don’t just jump on it. Stop and think about what you are trying to get done. Look at the jobs you are able to do with the energy you have and pick the job that will give you the most cash and experience. This is the job you are going to want to get help with because you are going to get the biggest bang for your buck from it. If you need a couple energy points to do a bigger job, then wait. By all means, do NOT get help with the job, and then turn around and finish it. Wait for the Mafia to complete the job so you earn your bonus. When you begin doing this you are going to be climbing through the levels just a little bit faster every couple days.
